The Weston Ideation Lab is a nurturing environment for students, innovators and entrepreneurs. The goal is to provide a place where students can learn and apply critical skills, like problem solving, critical thinking, team-building, and anything that is required from a good leader, business owner, or even employee.

We were tasked with helping to develop branding that could articulate the complex nature of their offerings and facilities in easy to understand messages and visuals. With programs, events, grants and other initiatives, we started by honing in on their exact messaging and offerings.

We created the tag-line "Where motivated students become leaders." We ensured this theme carried throughout the branding, as we focused on the outcomes students can achieve paired with clear and simple paths to get there.

We took this concept to life, and developed an identity that incorporated the CSU brand standards with a fresh "W" monogram and a graphic element that would represent the upward movement participation has.

Using the branding and collateral created to go with it, we decided to launch a video series where we interviewed dozens of members of the Lab. From students, to professors, entrepreneurs and community leaders, we felt the story was to strong to only tell with words and pictures. Our interviews turned into volumes of content that all led the user back to the Weston Ideation Lab, the outcomes and the ways to get involved.

Through these efforts, not only was there a noticeable buzz and momentum within the lab, but the key performance indicators, like increase in Lab visits, funds raised and attendance at events all increased from the previous year.
